Where will you be for the destination event of a generation? Hop in a helicopter and experience even more!
The first total solar eclipse touching the continental United States since 1979 touches down on the Oregon coast between Lincoln City and Newport at 10:15 a.m on August 21, 2017 and races east to ground zero in Madras and waiting solar eclipse watchers from around the world.
Join us in Madras and in the shadow of the snow capped Cascade Mountains with an estimated crowd of 30k at Solarfest 2017. For three days you will have the opportunity to lift off from the heart of Solarfest to explore the beautiful and dramatic high desert by private helicopter. Experience Lake Billy Chinook and it’s deep set cliffs set against the famous Three Sisters mountains in the distance, from there we turn north and follow the deep cut Deschutes River gorge, flying through ancient lava flows and remote landscapes and then back for a quick tour of the 30K people camped below waiting for their look at the first total solar eclipse in over four decades. This private helicopter tour was created for you and two lucky friends.Tours can be combined to fly more than one helicopter at a time for larger groups.
