Testimonials

“Thank you ever so much for making the Drake/Coco wedding rehearsal a big event by putting smiles on everyone’s faces as they were all still talking about how exciting it was the next day. The helicopter tours were over the top and your pilot and ground assistant was great. Your teams generosity of stretching your air time to take everyone up was greatly appreciated.”

BEST surprise gift ever! As Bend locals we host family and friends all summer long so when we received a one hour scenic helicopter flight via email as a “thank you,” we didn’t know what to expect. The Cascades mountains (Broken Top and Mt Bachelor) were covered in deep snow and seeing Dillon and Tumalo falls from the air was a real treat! We cannot wait to fly in a helicopter again!

My wife and I flew the Winter Wonderland Helicopter Tour this year after the first snow storm dumped white powder all over the mountains. Even though it was December 2nd, the day was clear. At times it felt like we could touch Mt. Bachelor and Broken Top. We flew with Colby, truly an amazing chopper pilot. I highly recommend him as well as all the staff at Big Mountain Heli Tours. They are quite professional. This tour was outstanding, it is a must do. I can write many things about the flight but it is an adventure to be experienced and not read. Next time in Bend, take the Winter Wonderland Helicopter Tour and you will be pleasantly thinking about it weeks later.

Big Mountain Heli Tours offers a number of different helicopter and fixed wing tours all around Central Oregon. They can also plan a custom tour for you as well. We asked them to modify our flight so we could fly over Pronghorn resort and they did. The staff is extremely friendly, professional, and courteous, with seemingly a ton of knowledge of both the area and the aircraft you fly in.  This is a great way to spend a sunny day if you are in town, or live in town and want a different view of the area. We’re glad we got to experience Bend like this!

My husband and I flew with friends visiting from Sisters and fulfilled a long standing wish to see our area from the air. The weather was beautiful! We booked the 1-hour scenic helicopter flight, and were able to fly over our homes in Sisters, then over the Cascades to the beautiful lakes on the backside. Beautiful waterfalls, Deschutes River, Pilot Butte, lava fields. It was amazing! Our pilot Shawn was very good, very accommodating. We’ll do it again with visitors to our area.

I received this scenic flight as a present and enjoyed the Winter Wonderland Helicopter Tour with Jordon as my pilot. Getting to see the snowcapped Cascades from the air is thrilling. I want to go again & again. Jordon was very knowledgeable about the area and it was a joy to fly with him. If we were any closer to Mt. Bachelor & the Three Sisters I would have made a snowman. As a local Bendite I thought I had seen it all. Now I have!

I am really glad I did this scenic flight. It was very exciting. My helicopter pilot was experienced and pointed out many things as we flew over Crooked River and Prineville, around Smith Rock, over to the mountains North, Middle and South Sister, Broken Top, over Tumalo Falls, Lava Falls, Bend and back to the airport. I don’t think I would have been as happy with the shorter helicopter tours under an hour. My goal was to see Central Oregon and get pictures, not just go for a ride in a helicopter. Pictures turned out great because of the clear skies!
